Camp Coordinator

Joseph Epperson joined the Staff of Camp Northward in June of 1990.  Joe along with his wife Diana and son Erik have been a vital part of Northward since many years before they officially joined the staff.

The Epperson Family now includes daughter-in-law Carrie and grandsons Alex & Aiden and they are all a part of the Sherman Church of Christ in Grant County.  Joe serves in leadership at Sherman, and is active with the worship program.

Joe also is very active in the Christian camping industry.  Joe currently serves on the Executive Board of the Christian Camp Leaders Conference and served as it's President for the 2007 annual conference in Gatlinburg, TN.

Director of Development

Wayne Keith joined our Northward staff in January of 2003 in this newly created position.

Wayne, his wife Susan, and children Matthew, Courtney and Andrew have been active participants in the Northward programs for many years.

Wayne grew up as a camper at Northward from the Nicholson Christian Church.  He later worked as a faculty member and served in various committee positions during his nearly 10  year ministry with Bethany Church of Christ in Bracken County.

With a love for Camp and a vision of the future, Wayne accepted this development role to help advance Northward's move to our new Broadford Road property. Wayne brings ministry, management and construction background to promote Camp Northward in our church and community relations, to facilitate constructions projects on our new property and to help develop a financial base for our current and long term growth.

Office Assistant

Mary Cannon is much more than a secretary in our office.  She is most often the life blood of the office productivity.

If you've received a Camp Northward publication in the last 20 years Mary has almost single-handedly designed it, printed it, folded it, labeled it, sealed it, stamped it, etc. . . you get the idea.  But she does much more than our publications.  Deans and assistants have learned how valuable Mary is behind the scenes on any week of camp.

Mary grew up at camp, her parents owned and operated a Christian Camp in Central Ohio during her youth.  Mary has camp in her blood.  Since 1985 Mary serves with her husband Bob at the Powersville Christian Church, and they have two grown children, Lisa and Michael.
